Elina Sirparanta

Elina Sirparanta is a Finnish, France-based photographer. Her work revolves around backcountry skiing, freeride mountain biking and nature. Her photography and travel stories are published in European biking and skiing magazines on a regular basis.

Originally, Elina discovered her passion for photography through a collaboration with backcountry freestyle skier Julien Regnier. It was in the snowy surroundings of Whistler, Canada where she first realized she wanted to become a professional photographer.

Some of her inspiring work from can be seen in her book ’Gravity — Reflection On Backcountry Freestyle Skiing’. Elina has also done advertisement shoots for Halti since 2010.

Athletes inspire her a great deal: ”If I was an athlete, I would definitely be a mountaineer. I simply love mountains”, she says.

As a photographer, Elina wears Halti clothing all year round — including skiing outfits, jacket and accessories.
